but I'm not american and I didn't grow up in America...
if ur black thats enough r nationality doesn't matter, ur ethnicity does.
-
ok so then in your opinion it's ok for black people to say it regardless?
I thought blacks was synonymous with black people...
so is saying blacks not acceptable either? interesting
yes its ok 4 black ppl to say it regardless, their black.
saying blacks is dehumanizing It is really important to respect the way people want to be addressed, its engaging that u dont know its not ok to say that in 2021...

there's nothing wrong with that statement each to their own I guess...
nope

its just apart of the culture, and economic statues. I think that we just need to educate other races on the meaning of the word and just teach them not to day it cause thats the only way that they r not gonna say it because that word isn't going anywhere anytime soon...

thats correct, its the same reason y people shouldn't say it at all u already said u knew the history but the history behind saying it in music is the same yt ppl used the n word in music to degrade black people the same way they said it casually to degrade black ppl, all in all it shouldn't be said.
-
apparently it does so i learned here...
but if you are black then it's okay then you're allowed to say it
do u know y?

Korea is 99% korean, that’s the extent SK does demographics. Next highest would be asian foreigns (just guessing here), then we’d get into white/black foreigns.
The US is 5% asian and actually has a decent asian community. Meaning there is a REASON they should be in US media (tho they often aren’t). So a lot of fans see kpop as a way of increasing asians in US media where they have been historically ignored.
Now has non-koreans been ignored in Korean media? No, because there aren’t that many to ignore. It makes sense why there aren’t many because there isn’t really white/black communities in SK or atleast not at a noticeable level. You see a white/black person in SK, you 100% think they are foreign born.
In america, Asians are born here and have their own communities.
Basically asians being in US media isn’t much different than the current US system where is many races all together. But a random black girl in a kpop group where blacks make up probably less that .1% of koreans looks a bit FORCED.
Why is this foreigner trying to participate in this phenomenon that is giving asians a platform, when she could be in the US where blacks are OVER represented in the music industry and she’d probably have an easier time?
the question was 4 international fans who speak over Asian ppl when it comes to non Asians in kpop, also im talking about non american (Asian people) like bts for example like i said in the summary people say they the dont want Asians to be in kpop because it take a place for Asian person like their are assigned seats.
Was BTS being nominated for a Grammy taking a spot from a american person???...

Why is North American cultural expectations being applied to a country which is outside of North America? Is North America the global standard?
cause its hypocritical (i dont know if i already responded to this question if i did ignore it)

Then why are their opinions even being considered??
No, it's not the global standard. In fact, there's enough identity politics and woke ideology in Western Entertainment for the entire world and K Pop is just fine without it. I personally would like to see K Pop remain predominantly Korean; I personally don't mind at all the inclusion of other Asian demographics joining from Thailand, China, Japan or wherever because it's an organic addition. Forced diversity for the sake of diversity never brings goodness or strength to anything and in many cases, only destroys.
how is it "forced"

By my logic, korea isn't racist and I just explained that to you but your logic doesn't follow, you seem to be looking for racism instead of the actual reason
the reason is ultimately racism (the enforced separation of different racial groups in a country, community, or establishment.) but ok ig, this is going nowhere the conversation ends here

Hmm interesting question. I’ll try my best to answer you. These are my thoughts on it so take it with a big chunk of salt.
The reason why I think it is easier for kpop to get western audience is because the west does not have any sort of standards or criteria when it comes to music. Anything goes and is accepted by the gp. I mean there are so many cultures flourishing in the west especially in the US which makes it sort of lack an identity on their own. I think this amalgamation of cultures is why it’s more free to listen and release any kind of music you wanna do.
Now for Koreans, they are a bit conservative. There are certain cultures(styles and concepts) that may not thrive there. Just as I said majority are conservatives. Also kpop itself has certain standards and criteria I think which is useless but it’s there. Perfect looking idols with fair skins, doe eyes, you know, their beauty standards are ingrained in the industry. So any sort of change to this will first meet criticism until they get used to it. Like how majority of BTS members were criticized for not meeting these standards.
So IMO it’s more about the different kind of reception exhibited by the west and the east(Koreans). I am speaking about the general public not kpop fans only.
im not necessarily talking about how korea act im talking about the toxic american fans, the have the most to say.
