HYBE are good at their jobs, they know how to make the song “look organic” and if the song trajectory doesn’t look like that, they pull out the Payola. It’s why they can’t go just all out with TTH. It has to “look” organic. And that’s why Enha, TWS aren’t getting the same as what NJ, LSF, or ILLIT has. Because BGs aren’t as trendy as GGs in digitsl streaming.

Pop Rising contains songs charting, Easy Eng Ver wasn’t. It’s clear it’s not a hit that’s why the payola ended. That’s why their playlisting doesn’t reach as high as NJ or ILLIT LMFAO.

Dude, literally LSF started with 20+m playlist on their recent comeback at around week 1 in average, what are you saying? Point is they’re getting Payola, it’s just not working well. Easy Eng ver was literally #2 below Ariana Grande on Pop Rising. Wdym they’re getting “less than” NJ and ILLIT. They’re getting it, it’s just not successful.

LSFM songs had pretty decent streams similar to the other Hybe ggs and the only reason they have not gotten the same peaks is cause the allegedly favoured gg ironically did not get the playlist/autoplay or whatever push that Illit and Newjeans got from debut.

LMAO, ofcourse they do. Im not denying NJ/ILLIT did Payola, but their payola was successful and therefore they were added to more playlist. That’s just it.

LSFRM has good streams but it just wasn’t a hit, therefore no more playlist. That’s literally just it. HYBE can probably sustain like a month or two Payola in each groups, but longer than that and the song is just doing it on its own through Spotify algorithm.

Newjeans and illit getting 100m is partly because their songs gained traction after the initial playlisting/autoplay ads. If it gets viral, Spotify actually adds it to more playlist and more users adds it to their own playlists too. LSF never really had those songs despite what the spotify streams might show you lol, and among NJ, aespa, Ive, and g-idle, they have the weakest korean charting.

Also g-idle playlisting is insane but never debut in Top Global, it means playlisting ain’t all that.

What’s illegal is the incredibly high place that HYBE groups get on big playlists. EASY’s eng ver was literally besides Ariana Grande (#2) in Pop Rising playlist and it wasn’t even on Spotify Global 200. You can’t be more fraudulent than that.

Thing is u can’t just look at playlist reach. You need to look at all the aspects including where it’s placed on the playlist, the bias on discovery mode (HYBE groups get insane autoplay bias), and then the playlist reach. I can comfortably say, that while HYBE Groups abused it, the success was because the songs were actually good and became a phenomenon on Social Media liek tiktok (NJ and Magnetic’s case).

Meanwhile, LSF was just kinda aiming for that big peaks and literally made no waves whatsoever. It doesn’t help that they seem to be catching on trends without any remorse whatsoever. DNB was popular? Let’s drop perfect night. Afrobeat is in? Let’s promote Smart. Like seriously? Perfect Nights is their best charting song, but who uses that audio today? It’s just so obvious.

OP acts like SEA is one country. These are very much composed of countries with BIG kpop niches and each fan can actually buy ATLEAST ONE copy of an album even if they’re lower-mid class.

It’s only a slow chart year bc the song released that previously we thought would smash didnt, and those who did smashed are at the beginning of the year and they were not instant, too. They climbed for the spot. So yea, it’s not really slow in a sense, just the releases this year weren’t that up to par for public imo. We’ll see next two years if 2022 did worst than 2021, for now im betting 2021 was bigger bc they did have rollin, nl, traffic light, and celeb.

They will go to variety show tomorrow, i think that might be a good promotion. 11 is their first performance and i think 13/14 is their music show appearance.

I think it’s good to mention illusion’s rising spot too tbh. Personally think now that the prerelease was a good choice

Tbh, it doesnt sound like a chorus so it might still have saving grace. It does sound like the “beginning” of the sound, which is, atleast for me, just as important 😭 however, if it’s post-chorus, i might dig it!
