Did they miss the main album chart then? lol

False title. It's #1 on the US Billboard World Music Album Chart (as stated in the tweet), which measures "world music" album sales in the US. World music is basically any non-mainstream, usually foreign to the US, music. The World Music Chart doesn't measure sales anywhere but from the US, which is far different than the world's number one album.

Those messy lives are the Twice we know and love lmao.

By definition it's not directly racist, but it still doesn't make it okay. When you know it's not a person's native language, one should be encouraging and applaud their effort. Learning and mastering a second language is a pain in the ass, especially when it's a language from a different linguistic family.

I like MITM better music-wise, but Next Level is a lot more successful.

I'm not even thirty.
Also I did and graded conversation tests with my students this last week and there was a steep decline compared to last year in girls that talked about Twice when mentioning Kpop. They mostly mentioned Niziu, Izone, Seventeen, or BTS.
The song is outperforming my expectations, even if it's still struggling. -
Same position as The Album’s second week lmao.
Let’s see if it doesn’t completely fall off next week.

I'm not Korean, and most likely you aren't either(please feel free to correct me if not), so maybe using Oppa is a bit cringe.

It's crazy, i've been following these ULs closely for a few days now. Butter peaked at over 530k at one point but look at how close it is now. It's astounding what NL has done, from 200k UL to 430K UL in the past 31 days.
And with Brave Girls in the mix, we finally have an exciting three way chart battle to watch.
This reminds me a lot of what happened last summer between HYLT, Maria, and SSAK3. HYLT led Melon for 3 weeks with Maria at #2. But once those old boomers released their first of 80000 singles last year, it wrecked HYLT's listener base, HYLT ended up falling behind both SSAK3 and Maria. Let's see what happens between Brave Girls, NL, and Butter.
But in the end HYLT is the only one still in the top 100

Yeah I'm on team July too.

what's the total for Blackpink AIIYL and red velvet red flavor?
AIIYL has about 525m and RF about 560 iirc. I know they are both in the 500s.
Missing the 2017 data because both would easily be over a billion otherwise.
Both are probably at the same digital index now since AIIYL has been a lot higher than RF on streaming every year after they both stopped charting. -

Meanwhile not even a single Twice B-side is currently in the melon top 1000.
-
Brave Girls entering the top 10 with 9 hours still to go before their 24 hours ends. I think they'll reach top 4 before that time. Maybe higher. True summer hit.

Not all of them are like that though? Your comment is really insulting to the groups who have worked hard and won it .
I didn't say all, lmao. However, a vast majority of the songs that won, while very successful in their own right, were not the best performing song that year. That alone is reason to not take those awards seriously, regardless of who wins or should have won.
The album awards are usually a lot more fair, at least over the last several years.
