imo they were waiting to see if Baemon debut would take off but since it tanked everywhere and is only bringing negative press they decided to serve desperation and give BP anything they want

That has nothing to do with how big it is and everything to do with the shift from downloads to streaming as the primary source of consuming music, it's not a fair comparison. Especially seeing how Gaon is a revenue based chart and downloads have always brought more money to the label than streams have

Why do u guys pretend company stans don't make a difference in these numbers? Of course big4 idols are more popular than non big4 idols, that should be a no brainer. Instant popularity is one of the reasons why so many trainees want to debut in big4. For most cases, however, popularity come with time, which is true for Wonyoung and Yujin, who debuted earlier than other IVE members. If you guys don't remember, Sakura also used to be way more popular than Wonyoung before I*zone bc she already had a career.
So this popularity gap comparison is silly lol. There are so many predictable factors in this.
This Izone members and friends narrative is getting boring, try something else

aespa by far. You had the Karina pre-debut controversies, everyone saying they were copying some other group, etc. The song was actually good, the members were intriguing, and their concept was actually interesting hence why people were talking about their debut long after the first day. Ofc it helps that they actually promoted it as well
"Flopped" yet they at least managed to debut inside the Melon top200 in a chart where it's arguably harder to chart than it is now?
Let's not even talk about the points & streams BM accumulated in the long run after Next Level/Savage back to back smashery

YG put alot of emphasis on JenLisa's solo endeavors to get them to where they are, at a level that I don't see ADOR doing with NJ. I see them balancing solo stuff & group stuff kinda like SM with SNSD, with more emphasis on group stuff at first
Also the Hanni exclusion makes no sense when she's the most popular internationally along with Minji
