aespa by far. You had the Karina pre-debut controversies, everyone saying they were copying some other group, etc. The song was actually good, the members were intriguing, and their concept was actually interesting hence why people were talking about their debut long after the first day. Ofc it helps that they actually promoted it as well
Y’all really forgot just how bad blackmamba flopped
The minute baby monster start performing this won’t even be a discussion anymore
"Flopped" yet they at least managed to debut inside the Melon top200 in a chart where it's arguably harder to chart than it is now?
Let's not even talk about the points & streams BM accumulated in the long run after Next Level/Savage back to back smashery
-
YG put alot of emphasis on JenLisa's solo endeavors to get them to where they are, at a level that I don't see ADOR doing with NJ. I see them balancing solo stuff & group stuff kinda like SM with SNSD, with more emphasis on group stuff at first
Also the Hanni exclusion makes no sense when she's the most popular internationally along with Minji

The 'DEBUNKED' is so ridiculous lmaoo this site is so biased and then people wonder why nobody comes on here anymore
The thread was definitely a set up but still

#2 curse for Drama again Will probably drop a bit with Taeyeon next week, oh well

There's always someone to block aespa
Butter blocked Next Level
Show me the money blocked Savage
I AM blocked spicy
Nah it was LYW & IU that blocked Savage

AKP the only place where a song that goes top3 practically everywhere is deemed as a flop
Yes they are my friend, 25M on spotify and only 63M after all those ads are not good results, half of the sales of their previous album and less than ready to be and the big shocking news for my korean charts validation friends is that drama is performing the same as talk that talk on melon:

Aespa deflated too soon, I even thought they were still a top tier girl group but after looking closely they lost that category last year. If you consider twice is flopping may as well add aespa to the list.
This has to be trolling

Just more proof these companies are stuck in the past, that YG starvation gimmick isn't gonna work now like it did in 2nd or 3rd gen
-
but wasn't the same with 4th gen though because I remember you agree about 4th gen starting in 2019 ( not 2018) even 2020
the argument can be used the same when 3rd gen had their best year in 2018 yet people started to bring down the year of when 4th gen started . I remember clearly txt and itzy were when speculated to the beginning of a new generation not 2018 as far as I remember.
. I personally don't care about if they are 5th or 4th gen but it bothers me how 4th gen stans are bothered about this but similar situation happened with 4th gen so we can use their same logic. I see again double standards
I don't think 4th gen started in 2018 so now what. But then it at least made sense because groups like GIDLE & IZ*ONE did decently on the charts even though 3rd gen was very much in it's peak. None of these "5th gen" groups are making any splash in Korea making it even more obvious that it's just a marketing/copium tactic
I also don't know why people are pushing the 5th gen thing with Baemon when YG's mediaplay has compared them to NewJeans and the like, but whatever
-
5th gen is just a mediaplay/marketing tactic from companies cause they're aware they can't top the records of NewJeans, Stray Kids, etc so they have to act that they're from a new gen to make their groups look good. We're very much still in 4th gen lmao

I know a kid who had Felix photocard in her phonecase
-
And idk about you but Black Mamba was well received even if it didn't chart as well as their later comebacks. Have you ever considered the song just isn't good
-
Okay? Why y'all acting like that's a bad thing At the end of the day when the KPOP trend starts slowing down internationally and it ends up being a fad (we can already see it with physical sales) they're still gonna have to rely on Korean popularity/fanbase
People like TWICE and whoever don't rly have to worry about that but these new groups kinda do
-
They fell off ngl. That lineup doesn't look very promising

People were saying IVE would follow the post-IOI/Wanna One group route and bomb so idk why the narrative is changing now. Eleven did rise after a few days iirc so I will give them some time, but they were at least able to chart in the top 200 and that's with the Christmas bomb and December being known as a time that doesn't really benefit idols when it comes to releases
idk why anyone is shocked at the flopping tbh. YG reputation clearly took a serious hit after Burning Sun and you can see that with Winner/iKON's underperforming and Treasure flopping even though their boy groups used to be known for having hits. AKMU, BP and BB were the only ones to survive, add on the constant delays and removal of the most hyped member there and.....
Even their Spotify numbers are somewhat disappointing, I was expecting to come close or at least match NJ numbers given the hype. It'll likely rise tomorrow but kinda sad numbers for a group that was heralded to be 'NewJeans competitors'

People were complaining about how BP relied too much on Teddy and needed to switch it up and now that he's gone people want him back
I agree though
