The answer is no.
Their average streams will go down and they will have less visibility on international streaming platforms.

3rd Gen
Twice, Blackpink
4th Gen
New Jeans, Aespa, (IVE, Gidle?)
Tbh it’s hard to name 10 groups because 4th Gen is still on going and there is a bias.the other gens have faded even tho some had hits they might have faded towards the end of it. So maybe MMM or Gfriend or FX deserve it more than the 4th Gen groups. But I never hear about these group compared to SNSD or BP/Twice so i don’t feel like including them in the list either.
2nd they didn’t have any impact to the industry music wise or concept wise, also individual members of bp aren’t iconic idols themselves! So I

This is kind of embarrassing to type because yes selling sofi or met life or Nissan is indeed a bigger achievement than ever single digital record that new jeans or any 4th gen group has ever held lol.
Your digitals performance and the like only have meaning if ppl put their money where their mouth is and come to your concert.
Even in the west these new gen artists who have these huge singles and flop selling tickets are mocked and ridiculed.
Fans of a group who has literally never been on tour really should be quiet. You guys have ZERO skin in the game and are completely irrelevant until you get to prove that you’re gonna sell those tickets.
This is not to say these groups will or won’t sell tickets only that they haven’t yet proven it with a big tour so it’s best to stfu lol.

But great vocals in Kpop is as relevant as great cooking skills in a McDonalds.
Bad skills will be noticed, but superlative will be ignored and redundant.
Taeyeon was noticed as a formidable vocalist even before Soshi debuted, yet her success as a soloist is because of Soshi.
Because mere great vocals aren't enough in Kpop.
Otherwise EXID Solji, Kim Boa etc. would be the top tier stars.
You need something more,
IU went with Lyricism and good acting career.
But other vocalists largely struggle, if they aren't from top groups or have an additional X factor.
If I want to hear great vocals, I would rather look at classical or opera singers, not Kpop.
This is such a stupid argument I always roll my eyes at it.
There are successful singer who can sing and there are successful singers who are mediocre. This neither means good vocals are NEVER needed nor does it mean good vocals are ALWAYS needed. Because that’s not how you make inferences.
People CAN become successful for different reasons and people can also remain unsuccessful for different reasons.
Having good vocals was required for Taeyeon to be successful. It may not be a requirement for some others to be successful. And these are not mutually exclusive statements.

I never once said all of 2nd gen is unprofitable compared to 3rd it’s only the GG’s.
