Well, i actually didnt read the OP's post close enough so i dont know exactly what criteria he used. Like i said, if the question was about global dominance, then the answer is obvious, but how boring would that be? Everyone knows that no one can touch Butter's global accomplishments, so why even bother having a poll about it?
I focused primarily on things that were shocking/unexpected, the dominant narratives and stories of the first six months, and to me, Brave Girls, Aespa, Rose and Dream were the shockers and stories worth talking about.
And this isnt just an anti-BTS thing. If you notice, i didnt include IU on the list either even though her songs have objectively done better than Butter in terms of peak UL and Gaon points.
And tell me how nct dream dominate over bts since you are so keen on korean charts.
If you put dream over bts cause of physicals, why not use physical for all of your criteria.

I mostly look at Korean charts so that was what i was primarily focusing on, and the dominant stories to me were not about Butter. I think BG resurgence, Aespa rise to superstardom, and Rose and Dream's shocking Gaon sales were bigger.
Did the op specify that its only Korean charts. No, that is the thing you made up yourself to exclude bts.
And you say you mostly look at korean charts, so how is that one boygroup you pick dominate over bts except in physical sales.

lol fine, i guess i'm feeling tired of being ganged up on, just cause i question everything. I dont take headlines at face value, i dig deeper. I knew something smelled a little fishy about Butter and once i saw those UL numbers, i knew it was mostly a BTS hit, not a GP hit.
But you should be happy, it's clear even casual fans of BTS love the song, it's UL count is averaging right around the important 450k, it should have the same longevity as Dyna. If it had actually flopped with the fanbase, then you would have ended up with LGO or On UL numbers.
Do you know the problem with your logic here.
Ok, 1. you put one boygroup above bts because of a single category that is physical sales. They didn't beat bts in any other categories.
2. For another group, you completely ignore physicals that you so prioritize before and only focus on digitals.
3. You didn't even want to recognize their international achievements even when op includes it. And why is that?

I have the numbers for 2021 releases. LIlac and Celebrity both did better, and Rolling for sure had a higher peak in terms of UL. Judging by these Gaon Digital numbers, Butter is on pace to fall in between LSG and HYLT in terms of Gaon points for SOTY awards.
This is what Butter has done so far. For the 4th week, you can add in 34M Gaon points if you look at their official site. Adding in the 5th week, it will probably have around 160-170M.
Now compare that to HYLT which had 185M and LSG which had 147M.
Butter just didnt make the same impact that BG, Aespa, Rose (physicals), and Dream (physicals) did. At least in Korea, in the US obviously it's a different story.
Now you want to leave out all the international achievements of butter and focus at korean charts where they are one of top too so that you can leave out bts from the lists.
You made your own criteria of only including korean charts when the op means overall just so that bts is not included. LOL
And i seriously want to know how that other bg you chose do better than bts on korean charts since your criteria seems to be Korean charts.

Hmm...let's see.
I've talked about BTS being genuinely good people like 100000x times. I've mentioned how their chemistry and brotherhood seem real and genuine, not faked.
I've mentioned how much i love Mic Drop, Magic Shop and BWL. I've spammed the Magic Shop live Japanese performance more times than i can count. I've called their ballads the best boy ballads in the business.
I've mentioned my admiration for JK and RM too many times to count. I've referred to JK as the Golden Maknae and RM as an irreplaceable English Ambassador and leader.
So let me ask you...assuming you're a BTS fan...how many times have you praised Blackpink? Exo? Or any other rival group? How many Army on here have said anything remotely as positive and appreciative about Blackpink or EXO or BB as the things i've repeatedly said about BTS?
I don't see the reason why i need to praise someone I don't stan or like nor why i have to hate them and enter every thread about them shading and downplaying them. There is a thing called not poking your nose in someone business that does not concern you. Thats what I am doing.

As far as I’m aware, the list is comparing Monthly Listeners; not songs. Monthly Listeners includes all songs of an artists discography.
What’s being stated here is that TXT, who should have an increase in Monthly Listeners due to their comeback, had less Monthly Listeners than Stray Kids, who haven’t had a comeback.

I am sorry but what? So you compare a song that is only around 4 days to a freaking song that is way long ago. And this comeback is only around four days ago, so how did you determine the monthly listeners already. How does it make sense that you already know the monthly listeners of txt only four days after the comeback? I don't get it, explain it to me.

streams are distributed to each song when there are more songs, so it reduces streams of one song but SKZ has 10 million streams on 43 songs on spotify, while TXT has 22. Also their most streamed song God's Menu has more streams than Crown even though released much later. TXT has 3.7 mil monthly listeners with comeback, SKZ has 4.1 mil without comeback.

I didnt want to get involved but i have to say something.
The "SKZ have more songs so they have more streams" arguement will never go away since SKZ debuted before TXT and release more songs on average, if total numbers are forever meaningless lets look at yearly gains and song counts then. Last year SKZ gained over 500M streams (might even be +600M but im not certain) and this year got the fastest song to 100M for a 4th gen BG with God's Menu and have another song over 90M already from 2019. Meanwhile, TXT gained +250M streams (again, not certain on exact number so it could be close to 300M I would need to check pls correct me if I'm wrong) and had their debut song hit 100M with their second closest song currently at 76M which also released 2019 tho later in the year.
SKZ also maintains a higher avg daily stream count over 2M while TXTs increased to +1M daily after BH (not including comeback peaks), and like others mentioned SKZ has more monthly listeners. So, prior to Freeze SKZ did better on Spotify given this info TXT has upset that tho with this comeback but SKZ haven't had a comeback yet and very well could retake charting from them since Back Door was orignially higher then 2019 TXT releases (outside of the US).
Last year TXT only had minis while SKZ had a full +repack but this year both are getting full albums and so if it wil be easier to analyze the performance of the albums and compare them.
No, i agree. Stray kids do have an edge over txt before freeze album. I think it will be clear in the long run who is at the top. I speak on this because I considers that they are on the same page considering this txt comeback. So yeah, when SKZ comeback, it will clarify it.
