is this a RE: thread? Just asking about context. But what I see: there is a new wave in kpop thanks to the new generation having groups gaining popularity real fast so there is a new batch of toxic fans who are new to the scene, are getting vocal and are still green enough to be annoying and talk smack 24/7. They will realise status quo fast (as in which group how successfull is for real and how fandom wars aren't the shit and are useless and tiresome) and will calm down a little. As it stands, Bp is still one of the top dogs in the music industry and so they are targeted. Sadly. It will blow over if you ask me, but I know that this is my opinion and estimation only.

Well, post it proudly with your name on it. If it's good, it will be good. If you are not comfortable with posting it under your name, then maybe it's better left in the drafts.

I may be wrong but maybe JYPE has to do it.
It happened to me with Day6 as well, they removed a lot of Jae stuff, and people mentioned it is because contractually they are not allowed to use his pictures anymore so it might be the same for Jinni
Does it truly work like that? Because I think products made in the time-frame of a contract (e. g. pictures and music) belongs at least partly to the company? And with things already posted as promotional in that time period should be difficult to be revoked even by the artist, I think there should be some "photography usage arrangement" that you have to broke up legally? (I am not clear about this but now you made me curious so I thought it's worth a question.)

If we are thinking about what kind of news and threads do get more traffic, then negativity is in the lead definetly. But I was away from AKP for a long time and I remember positivity threads more or less dying (except for example: the BTS records thread). Baiting threads were much more common and visited by many.
Now I see a lot of positivity threads, many of them succeeding. A few baiting thread here or there, but must drying up quickly. Some threads about this or that record get many many views and comments, so I would say even AKP changed in a way. So I can't agree 100%. But when I think about bullying news and etc., it's still the worst. People judge and take sides without any kind of proof (or openness, on the other side) and then we all have surprised pikachu-faces when the idol was innocent but their career is already ruined.
I guess I should make a more detailed argument, but now I don't have the right time and this is my impression overall. -

I know some idols who eventually came out that they actually hated working with some people.
One guy comming to my mind disliked someone so badly that he decided to not renew his contract and that caused the group to disband, he also hated someone of another agency he was signed to so he made the group he was suposed to debut with wait and wait but than decided to become a soloist and not debut with that group so the group debuted way too late so he literally Fd with 2 groups cause of how he disliked some people.
I was affraid so... I don't see things working out greatly with a kpop group hating each others guts. That guy sounds like an *ss. ಠ_ಠ

K-pop’s Stans are delusional and think their favs are a family because they say I love you !!! To a member.
The fact it’s considered a drag will never not be funny.
This!
If people would work like just coworkers together than some people in KPop would most likly run off way easier since it's not the average 9-5 job with a good salary and at least 1 day off of work each week. And some people would also give less in producing music if they help producing since they would only see it as "the one job I do for some hours a day that pays my rent and nothing else" . And some people would most likly also be easier to leave their groups than it allready is since they most likly will think of a job somewhere else that does better for them.
Companies where people often only go to work for the money are mostly place where people say (example) "I work as a sales assistent in a branch of a big company and yeah I think I like working here" sometimes people do not even tell you where exactly that would be and if the job was really as good as they say it would be. And people also don't talk as open as they want since its inapropriate to spill some company-secrets, cause you can't just go out there like "Yo I work in a very specific job that creats new ideas for the company and we just planed to release the next big thing" because in normal jobs you get in trouble when you for example would work at Apple and than tell everyone about the next iphone or whatever ...
And it also would feel way colder between the members if they really just had the "coworker" aditude to eachother, especially when it comes to singing and dancing on stage together.
Also imagine if they had just the coworker-aditude than let's say apearing on a event together would make them feel like when people in let's say a hospital would say to eachother "and next week all nurses and doctors meet for a christmas party and in May we meet for the 100th anniversary of the hospital and in July all staff of the hospital meets up for our big summer event... hm" and you would also see more annoyed faces of people who think "oh great... another event... it's just cause I am a singer... It's just cause I make money in this career... I can go home after this and pretend it never happend..."
If they also would only see it as "coworker" thing than many idols would most likly get sick of everything and especially since most groups live together they would in the worst case be like "Oh wow... I have to work with these 3 people and than live in the same house with them ... why the fuck do I have to see them 24/7 ?"
etc. etc.
And this!
I do agree that it is wrong to force them to lie about liking each other but with an idols work shedule and looking at how much time they do have to spend together not speaking about how personal you have to get to practise and make art, it's way better to encourage and help them of having good relationships with each other so they can have companionship and can present a unite front against all the hardships. Of course this means encouraging them in a healthy way and let them decide how close they want to get, which do not happen always. But they can't just go home and forget about their workplace at 6 o'clock, they can never get off really because off heavy shedules, fans and fame. They just can't have a work life and a personal life divided. Of course there should be but idol life gets into your every hour. It doesn't stop at any o'clock. Better to have companionship to bear that. And even if they don't, at least they should not hate going into work with their band mates.

Wait. Isn't Genius Korea a page mostly for lyrics? They do a year end charts about how many people looked up this or that songs lyrics? So does this say like: how many international people were curious avout the exact meaning of your song and how curious is your international fandom at the first place about the lyrics your song has?

Nopppe. Nope. Nopopope.

Indigo is a no skip, lyrically wonderful, musically building, esthetically pleasing, emotionally jarring album!

because those people are inherently "dodgy" (can't think of a word off the top of my head lol)
and so many people who are the majority of whatever fandom not just armys enjoy their fav group/idol/[insert literally any other hobby] in peace and quite - they might stream their songs, buy albums, see a concert if they can, vote during award shows and whatnot but they don't need to go out constantly shouting OMG I love [xyz[ group/idol
the other vocal people need to proudly and shamelessly go on social media to spout all sorts of nonsense whether in this case it's a hair cut or some other BS because they just want to get a rise out of other people
and guess what like most things the negativity will draw much more attention than a "good" fan who says " wow I really like Jin's haircut"
I don't agree on that note. I do see a lot of great posts and energy from fandoms. So the positivity is definetly just as loud as the negativity, even when some people do not want to aknowledge it. :)

rather than the internet comments, I would worry about the people inside the enlistment itself...
People are people I guess, on and offline... Now you made me remember how many idols got depressed for some or other reason in the military. Is there an exact reason? I don't hear a lot about what goes on the inside, but it seems like idols do have hardships when they serve. I just don't know if it is a personal cause or bullying so I did not comment on that. But you made me curious? Mind sharing?

I hardly get updates about the kpop scene that's why I go there. I don't do twitter or other sites, where do you get updates then?
-
because it's the internet
Jin isn't the first and he certainly won't be the last
as long as the internet has existed - people and their comments suddenly became anonymous and thus they free like they can shit on whomever and whatever they want without consequence
those people certainly wouldn't say that to another person's face let alone a kpop idol or other celebrity
remember always though that when it comes to the internet - the silent majority is often drowned out by the vocal minority
I still don't know how can some just switch of their consciousness. But yeah, you are right. I want to stay silent and I am most of the times, then I remember how many suicides we had... And I want to try at least a little. Anyway, fools game for sure.
-
I do try mostly, but sometimes I have the need to at least say that "this is not right". I won't go into comment wars, I will listen to you about that. Thank you anyway! I will go about my day and enjoy it now that this is out of me.

Fans and netizens think #Jin looks "so hot" with a buzz cut despite feeling sad about him leavingIdols that have to enlist in the military usually don't post themselves with a buzz cut. However, Jin changed the game and uploaded a picture of him…www.allkpop.comI am shocked and disturbed about the shallowness of some (and how many at that!) people!
While I am accustomed to users hating on different articles on the main page, I am shocked about the reason that so many are bashing on Jin right now: for his shaved head...
I understand people get tired of different fandoms lifting their favourite idols up so I wasn't that much surprised about the downvotes (153 up and 123 downvotes on this particular article) and I did read a few exaggerated sentences like always, but this time around people downvoted for the need to tell others that Jin is "soooooo ugly and unattractive" (not an exact comment, just the gist of it) and "how can other people be so delusional to call Jin handsome".
I agree that beauty is subjective and fandoms can be overzealous, but I am disgusted about all these people just coming to post only because they want to can call someone ugly (for an obligatory hair cut, no less) and no other, sane reason. Just to hate (for what, I don't know). When even famous and obviously handsome people get treated like this I do get affraid of all the people always needing to share their opinion on beauty only because they have the need to tear others down.I always have this question. Why do people have the need to shout at other people that "I think you are ugly lol?" At any kpop idol, human or user?
I don't get it.
