For Koreans to not take Kpop & idols serious and feeling an oversaturation of groups, they sure oversaturate their own charts way more with the same style of OSTs & ballads for the the last 5 years and they overpraise actors. (Acting is overrated - dancing, singing, composing & performing is much harder then memorizing scripts and showing different expressions with your face during scenes)...

dude... their highest downloads were 600,000 with crash in 2012.... i was not talking about the chart position but overall downloads..... they peaked digitally BEFORE their last few cbs. dope was also...a bside for bts...
I always read that there was a price change for downloads in 2012/2013 in Korea. It became more expensive and because of that the numbers went down for awhile. You could compare it with today’s Melon having less ULs for achieving Top 10 because of some reasons, compared to other years. So this decline between 2012-2014 was widespread for many ig.

I always want to talk about it, but it’s only fun with friends, with strangers on the internet it gets difficult.
I absolutely enjoy making playlists from group's discography and listening to it while doing other stuff, so listening wins.

That one song after 1004 is a decline?? (The lawsuit thing began right after that...).
Bangtan also after I Need You on #5, had Dope only on #44, but the next one was Top 10 again (and I know Dope was more of a promo song, but B.A.P. also had some promo songs).. so that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s already a decline, when it could have go up again with the next one if that shit never happens which came in November '14.

B.AP. Are racist
Can you bring examples?
(Someone could say the same shit about the other group in this thread without any evidence).

I only know them because of this

Song messages and the rap would be the best reason.

We need this rule for Korea & USA too XD

We always think „it’s only Kpop, it isn’t that deep“, but then ca happens, or suicide of idols, or mistreatment etc. (beside the things Op wrote) - it’s okay to talk about the topics in a more serious way sometimes.

Park Jiwon (Fromis 9) - Megan ♥️

Lol Hardy, you’re such a success stan. The only reason u didn’t become „hardcore“ BTS fan is because they’re boys... XD
Now to your question - I'm not good with predicting numbers, so I say other stuff. I think their peak can be having the biggest single of the year in Korea someday & at least(!) one stable US hit in the Top 5 with longevity. (A number 1 would be nice too).

Step!
And could you please:

I don't have a problem if people consider transition groups like AOA, EXID and Crayon Pop (all debuted in 2012) 3rd gen groups. What I am confused is why people blatantly cutting off the 3rd gen timeline. Especially 2018 which was definitely a clear 3rd gen year with 3rd gen mega hits like BBoom2x, Starry Night, D4 and DTNA.
If 4th gen really started in 2018 that means 3rd gen only ran from 2012-2017, which is relatively short considering how 3rd gen groups are still leading the pack even now. In comparison 2nd gen apparently started with TVXQ and ran for 9 years (2003-2011).
That's the question. If 3rd gen is still strong and there's no shift whatever, why a 4th gen have to start? And there are really not much distinction with these "4th gen" groups to the 3rd gen, it's not like they invent or reinvent something.
Thanks! You’re asking good questions and their answers won’t make strong sense...
