it might be true or it might not be...(I usually can't really tell if it's super duper vocals or just good vocals)
but for me it has to be about the song and if i can't connect with the song the vocals are irrelevant

ooohhh I guess song? like there are some ballads out there with great vocals that I can't bring myself to care about.
I feel like there are songs where if anyone else had sang it... I wouldn't care for it... not as much anyways. Like, these unique vocal qualities are what sells the song for me.
I think that might apply to some of the Exo solo music I've listened to (D.O and Suho). Don't get me wrong though, all the songs are really well made, but the vocals on there... if they weren't on there I'm not sure if I could care for it as much. Maybe I'd still like it... just not to a deep level.
There's probably other songs out there that are like that for me, but that's just a recent example from the top of my head.

I feel like there are songs where the vocals save it though... anything particular I can't think of at the moment but I do know I have experienced listening to some songs like that.
