Bulk buying gives a very wrong picture when determining popularity, it's stupid kpop fans even use it. We are in streaming era
If we go by current album sales groups such as nct, stray kids, txt, etc are bigger than the likes of ariana, ed sheeran, taylor and even eminem who's the best album seller of the century iirc

Because we're in an era of kpop when the Korean public is a lot less interested in kpop. Girl groups were able to make a comeback recently, but they have always been reliant on the public anyway. Boy groups are more fandom reliant than ever.
In addition, kpop is also more globalised than ever. Even the companies are adjusting to it, by looking for English speaking trainees, adding subs to the groups' own content, making content on Youtube that's easily accessible to everyone all around the world, etc.
Because of this, it's completely realistic to have an international majority fandom who are just as dedicated, but obviously can't meaningfully raise Korean streaming.

Fans do not like those people music

I don't think this is a correct analogy. Physical albums are of less importance in the case of western artists, but kpop managed to ingrain physicals into the subculture. In other words, the threshold for a fan to buy a physical album is lower than that of the western fan. It doesn't necessarily make them less of fans.

not the point, they are still irrelevant to determine which artist is bigger than other and like I said this is streaming era, if you can't pull streams how can you be a top artist...

most bg stans are here for the photocards

album sales depend on fans, streams depend on casual listeneres. some groups don't have many casual listeneres because their music is an acquired taste, however they have strong dedicated fandoms and that's why the sell lots of albums.

is that why boy groups' bsides in average have more streams than ggs'?

And you expect kpop groups to pull numbers like the top western artists do? Let's be honest, kpop is still a niche genre, you have to look at numbers relatively.
-
some bsides do chart in melon, even if just for a few days but it still counts for something.
it is easier to find boy group bsides with 10 to 30 or 40+ million streams in spotify than ggs. even in this same forum you'll see more talk about boy groups bsides than girl groups.
i think it is because boy groups target fandoms and fandoms consume entire albums, so boy groups (and their companies) put so much focus on the album as a whole and many boy groups promote several songs from the same album or provide content such as dance practices, live videos, bsides tracks etc for several songs from the same album. while girl groups target the general public and casual listeners which is why most of the care goes to the title tracks and singles
we can compare NCT Dream and Red Velvet's last years albums for example
NCT Dream released 4 bsides tracks (short MVs) from Hot Sauce / Hello Future album for Dive Into You, Diggity, Rainbow and Life Is Still Going On. They also released live performances for Be There For You, ANL and Live Is Still Going On. They promoted 2 different bsides alongside the title track in music shows (Diggity and Dive Into You), released official performance videos from their comeback showcase and released dance practices and studio recording sessions for 4 different songs from the album.
those songs streams in spotify:
Diggity: 12.6M
Life Is Still Goin On: 35.6M
Dive Into You: 27M
ANL: 11M
Be There For You: 11.6M
Rainbow: 20.4
and My Youth (which didn't have any special promotional content) : 18.5M
meanwhile RV who are known for their good discography and who are very popular among the general public and casul kpop listeners only released special content for 2 bsides from their Queendom album, a special clip for Hello Sunset and a Performance video for Pose. Pose has 12M stream in spotify and Hello Sunset has 6M, the rest of the bsides range from 4 to 5M.
it would be a lie to say you can't see the difference in fandom interest and influence. Actually a group like Red Velvet, despite the huge acclaim their discography get all the time for kpop fans only have one single bside with 20M streams, while NCT Dream who debuted later and have a much smaller discography have half a dozen bsides with over 20M streams. heck even NCT 127 who are always mocked for their music and streams have several bsides with 20-30M streams. and you know what? it is not only Red Velvet, it is the same for Twice's Formula of Love (which is highly praised and widely claimed as their best album) and Itzy's Crazy In Love and Guess Who. These GGs' title tracks have higher streams than NCT Dream's but the streams of their bsides pale in comparison with very few exceptions from both sides, and then there are other groups with better bside streams than NCT Dream like TXT, Enhypen and Stray Kids. TXT and Enhypen both have bsides with over 100M streams and the same can't be said about any girl group aside from BlackPink. so now what?
saying that boy groups' fans only care about photocards and don't like or stream the music of their favorite boy groups is both unfair and factually wrong.
