Literally no, cause your excuse don't make sense when you bring the factual things that happened in those years. 2NE1 wasn't done in 2013 or 2014 1st half, they were done thanks to Bom's scandal, Minzy not renewing in her own will and CL wanting a US career. Due those 3 things YG delayed BP debut til 2016, and after 2NE1 ot3 not being enough commercially they were disbanded. Kpopies always love to rewrite the timeline to make it look like yg ggs needs to be done for another to debut, when that ain't the case. Baemon will debut next year or this year, and not due that BP will disband or the debut will be because of that.

Um, wasn't this group media-played by YG to have a bunch of Jennies?
Aslo, to answer op, I do think they will be popular but I'm not sure if it will be to the extent of Blackpink. While this may not be the case, patterns show that if a company has the #1 leading group of their gen, their following group will not be the one to follow that success. It usually gets passed around from company to company.
i.e SNSD (sm) >TWICE (jyp) >Blackpink (yg).
I think the next top group will come from a new company.
This is probably because company stans are less willing to migrate to the junior group if they are already attached to the senior one. Probably why Red Velvet and Itzy turned out the way they did. YG was smart to have gotten rid of 2ne1 first before debuting Blackpink.

Who do you think will be the next top group? IVE or a new group that have not debuted yet?

I don't like them but Aespa for sure. They are doing what SM wanted in TVXQ. Their only hurdle is Giselle and Ning Ning's popularity, but the next 2 CBs focused on them will make them popular too.
The long hiatus is because they are teasing it out: NMIXX, Ive, and Lesserafirm have debuted and Aespa has no content: so they when they do drop content, it'll overshadow the rest. That is what SM does when there is a lot of competition. Girl Groups make noise and drop very fast, this way they can prolong Aespa's noise. This also helps Aespa continue the underdog narrative which is very powerful for stans.
The songs also take a long time to produce, and they will spend a long time with the music. Aespa will come back and go against ITZY (same time comeback) and SM will plan to release shows (TV Show, Immortal Songs, Video Contents) as the last stretch once Min Heejin GG, maybe I-land GG depending on concept, and YGngg debut.
Western stans are usually success stans, once Aespa gets over the experimental phase of their music (2021-2024) then probably 2024 onwards will be a more traditionally SMish style with crazy mixing, and Western stans will follow them then. Not to mention they've planned out Aespa's concept very well: yes as SM there's tons of mishaps and leaks BUT they've filed tons of copyrights for almost every single turn of the SM universe. There is going to be a lot of "twists" to Aespa's career.
Everyone was dogpiling on BP in 2018- except YG just took BP out of the idolsphere and now they have a much better image. For now Aespa needs a win: a good performance, a good show appearence, something to attract far more Mys and then they can go from there.
I don't think any group can replicate BP's success, but I think Twice's success (to a lesser degree, their domination from 2016-2018 is unmatched) not including Japan, can be replicated.
I think Ive can do really well though. The only pitfall I see is people consistently bringing up Wonyoung and Yujin, even when the group is established. Liz Cfans, Rei Jfans, and all Western Gaeul stans consistently pit up Wonyoung against the rest. Top3 gg for sure.
