Hybe, SM, JYP, YG - Best to worst companies to debut in?

  • who in Hybe is sexualize? They wont even let their bg wear anything too revealing until tney reach a certain age.

Lol have you seen their new gg choreo. Even the trailer/preveal of the members screams sex sells...what's the youngest member age there? yeah.

  • from best to worst

    1. YG:

you actually get to enjoy your youth in yg

    2. JYP

you will get overworked and/or hated if you are a boy group but still ok

    3. HYBE

Horrible Company, but instant success if you debut under them.

    4. SM

people overexagerate how good sm is, look at any of the lawsuits filed against them and you'll see why. I do not want to debut under them. ever.

  • I'd only want to debut in SM the other ones are all trash but still better than nugu agencies

hmmp, i dont think so but u ignore d fact that none of the bg were sexualize & hybe is quite protective of their bg. BG in YG and JYP do more sexy things. And i dont see any difference the way sm /jyp or even ive dresses if u compare it w/ le ssera. maybe ur the prblem . u hv a dirty mind.

  • Hybe is best. SM has a lot of lawsuits from their artists. In JYP, there are many artists who are not happy with their labels too. Were they able to renew anyone?YG is a criminal along with SM.

Hybe’s only issue is being too greedy w/ profit but at least it will make their artists richer. All bgs seem to be happy with labels including BTS. It’s basically an instant success if u debut in Hybe.

  • In case you hadn't caught up, this was proven to be fake news ages ago, with the original source of it just some random anonymous internet person, no real sources or actual proof.

And like with all fake news and lots of people still believing Covid was a haux, some gullible people and ifans didn't factcheck and kept believing this even if was proven to be fake news many times ages ago.

it’s probably based on something. i still think it’s true. YG has many flaws but they treat their artists well in terms of profit sharing & same with Hybe. U can feel it with artists . The only difference, YG has more creative freedom but u get stuck in the dungeon & their upper management has criminal offense. Hybe may have less creative freedom ( except for bts) but they all do well & not as overwork as JYP artists & ur international success is already given.

You may believe whatever you want to believe, everyone may believe as much fake news as they want because it fits their personal world view, but that still doesn't make it true. It just makes it something that someone wants to believe. for whatever reasons.

Another fact is that SM of all the top K-pop companies has the most of their groups and artists extend their contracts, not just in absolute numbers but also percentage wise, and some even get their own sublabel with it, like Super Junior. The fact that so many more artists under SM renew their contracts, already have successful individual careers during their first contract period and also after contract renewal, wouldn't happen if it was that bad at SM as you and some others believe.

But this whole discussion is about nothing. All Big 4 companies aren't bad to debut in if as a trainee you manage your expectations and don't think it'll all be paradise dreamworld, to be an idol in any of the K-pop companies.

  • best: SM if a small or medium sized group. Company stans go wild to support co- SM groups.

worst: SM if a 20+ group like NCT. Earning is low.

  • If you look objectively across all groups in any company. It's SM. They have been at or near the top for so long. Their consistency is unmatched.

They give the best job security and longevity in the industry, especially if you don't end up being a Jennie, Taeyeon, Suzy type top member of your group.

They have the best re-sign rate. All their idols will get some form of individual gigs and promos, even the less popular ones. Variety shows, radio hosts, musicals, they are booked. Look at the less popular members from their older groups. All still busy. Look at a guy like Suju's Ryeowook. Doesn't chart, less than 50k album sales, still got to release his 3rd album, amongst his other activities. Kangta, Boa are directors now. Members from flop groups like Blackbeat are vocal trainers and choreographers in the company still. They have unheard of artists still on their books or were on there for ages. Zhoumi, Zhang Liyin, Jay from Trax etc.

Even if you have a scandal, they will protect you and keep you on the books. Suju's Kangin has been cancelled for like the past 5-6 years and he's still signed to them.

The only major downside with SM is if you mess with them first. Then they show no mercy.

JYP is the worst. Look at their re-sign rate. Their reluctance to promote idols individually. They will take your youth and give nothing back. You'll be popular when you're active, but you're on your own after that. Where's the rest of Wonder Girls outside of Sunmi? Miss A outside of Suzy? 2AM? 2PM outside of Junho? Let's see what happens to the less popular members of Twice, GOT7 and Itzy after disbandment.

YG is great if you are someone who can make your own music. If you aren't and are one of the least popular in your group, then good luck to you. Who knows anyone in Winner besides Mino? Where's Ikon been? Blackpink is the exception, and Big Bang to a smaller extent. 2NE1 got paid DUST.

HYBE, still a bit too early IMO. They could end up being the best, but it will all depend on BTS. Until the company is bigger than BTS, it's hard to say whether they'll treat all their groups like BTS. With what they did to GFriend and Nuest though, the signs aren't good if you don't hit big early. They will give you a fantastic opportunity to do that though. Let's see if the longevity is there.
