Are students forced to study to midnight or 3am by their parents in your country ? If yes, in which country do you live ?

That makes it easier. Do you guys pick your own subjects? In the hsc we have to pick our own subjects (english is compulsory)

My parents were lax and made me do homework but never forced me to study. The more I studied the more of it left my head not entered it

Sorry, the thread specifically mentioned parents forcing their kids to stay up and you didn't really make a distinction otherwise in your post I replied to.

I am aware of that. I was referring to the parents having expectations on their kids to do well, that was all.
