    I mean it's not like that is for a comeback and who knows it could end up going viral as other quirky cute songs have in the past. But anyway, I will agree with you about JYP having no clue. I really do feel like everyone on their board of directions was probably face-palming at NMIXX debut because they somehow was unable to read the room. Fans were clearly getting tired of noise music but they had absolutely no idea apparently which is honestly low-key funny when I think about it and how they went the eact opposite of what consumers wanted.


    They named the group "NMIXX" and literally straight up said "So, like, their concept is noise music" with their whole chest only for it to come slapping them back in the face. Even HYBE could tell from the description of LeSserafim's title song as "something easy to listen to". like lmao JYP what were you thinking?

    SM fans are taking more of an interest in NMIXX music than JYP fans. JYP should have known that while stray kids music is well accepted, it's because they didn't follow the typical jyp bg formula, and they expected a public friendly jyp gg.


    I think they'll go more cutesey noise and less "edgy rap" on the next comeback however that'll put Lily, Haewon, Bae at a disadvantage, where Sullyoon, Jinni, Jiwoo and Kyujin would have an advantage.


    nmixx aren't completely screwed at all, many of them have large fanbases but while groups like Aespa could debut with a lackluster debut track in 2020, a lackluster debut track in 2022 is not a good sign at all. There's more groups every day, and success stans will flock to the one that makes the most noise.


    they still have the chance to pull a red velvet (red flavor) or a mamamoo (um oh ah yeah) with a title track the gp likes, away from their original concept.


    I am surprised jyp hasn't done any jyp family/twice covers w nmixx because they could shine there.


    I do think JYP doesn't really know what to do with NMIXX. They switched the center from Kyujin to Sullyoon randomly because of the hype, Jinni's yelling is so weird since she's the 3rd/4th best vocal in the group. There was no predebut hype for NMIXX at all besides Lily, Sullyoon and Jinni.


    The budget was good but I think some of the styling was off - especially for Lily and Haewon. There were also no solo shots when the girls were singing besides Sullyoon so people didn't know who was doing what, and it was all scattered. Kyujin has a lot of stage presence but I think people sleep on her as she's not the typical maknae visual from JYP. Jinni fans are already mad because she had so much predebut hype but the pink hair + focus was on other members than her during their debut. Bae, Jiwoo and Haewon gained a lot of fans in the fandom.

    i wonder if they will still insist the mixxpop music in future releases. if yes, their future looks doomed :pepenomad:

    It's not like I think nmixx are screwed at all I just find it funny how hard JYP is going to have back peddle now all while losing face. He'll have to pretend the whole concept was some fever dream and revamp nmixx whole concept for next time.

    I think this could be the smartest move JYP could make. NMixx are not going to be new Aespa, like Itzy were not able to be new Blackpink. That trick worked one time only. Now the best thing they can do is push their new groups into Twice's mould because that style actually works for them.

    plus other groups have done osts for kids shows and have mature concepts and they haven't change concept

    This isn't necessarily backpedaling tho. NCT Dream released Hot Sauce and a kiddie song with Pinkfong and will do the same on Glitch Mode. It's possible to do both in trying to expand the audience. Kai appeared on kid's TV shows while doing promotions for Mmmh.
