why do people expect 2ne1 and BP to have a good relationship?

You can see Blackpink in a similar manner as they hang out with Red velvet and Twice members despite supposedly having the same treatment. 2NE1? Nadia, zilch. There’s barely interaction with other idols. In fact 2NE1 very little interaction with their own label mates BP and instead seemingly have some animosity with them.

You an blame it on yg if you want but the fact that BP are much more approachable while still in the same company and other ggs past and present have “strong” images but still make friends (SNSD too mentioned other ggs were too shy to approach them because of their legend status but that didn’t stop them from making friends) shows that it was more 2NE1’s problem than because of the situion they were supposed forced into.

what he meant both groups were not different because there was always an intention for both groups to have that YG style. He kept mentioning wanting a group to have good visuals with skills . I mean the origin of the name of blackppink says it all "pretty isn't everything" and symbolized that "they are a team that encompasses not only beauty, but also great talent."

But 2ne1 disbandment happened after BP debut and long after BP existance was announced. 2ne1 disbanded in 2017. BP has been kpublic known since 2013 when the PunkPink thing was happening and then debut at 2016 long before 2ne1 was disbanded, hell even when they were announced 2ne1 was still suppose to keep going as 3.
