RE: "Do y'all consider GD fashionable?"

You're looking at a stage performance of a song that's supposed to be quirky and eccentric. The outfit's supposed to match that vibe.

I think a lot of what's considered good fashion is unconventional in the sense where it doesn't look like something you'd see every day. Think of the outfits you might see on runways; some of them are very bizarre. It's something you have to develop an eye for to fully appreciate. Then, again, it's still different strokes for different folks.

His style has always been a bit "different" from what you'd usually see even the best-dressed people wear. That's what sets him apart. He has a very intentional way of dressing instead of just putting on pieces that look good individually. It doesn't matter if it's brand name or not (I feel brand name clothing is very overrated, especially in K-pop). He knows how to make it work through coordination of colors and shapes. It harmonizes and flows, if that makes sense.

These are some of his best looks:

  • I agree with this.

His style of dressing is usually not what I'd wear either, but it's really interesting to look at. I feel like we're used to seeing beautiful people wear clothes that fit well and look good, but that's not necessarily fashionable. It's very easy to get away with wearing the plainest outfits and be considered a fashion icon when you have a good-looking face. Of course, there's nothing wrong with that, but it's not really fashion.

Meanwhile there's actually some artistic thought process that goes into GD's outfits. You can see what he's going for. There's a theme that goes well beyond whatever recent trends there may be. That makes it really interesting.
