Where was this energy when Itzy got international distribution while SKZ's full album and only proper cb didn't, despite SKZ selling better and having a bigger international fandom? When Itzy got proper promo from the beginning but SKZ didn't, in fact a member got streetcasted several times almost two years into their debut? And why would JYPE prefer bgs when their ggs have been historically a ton more successful, and that's what people know them for? SKZ are an anomaly in JYPE.

This isn't true though. People see Twice dominate the 3rd gen healthily and push this narrative but Twice are the anomaly in that equation.
GOD were one of the biggest boy groups in the 1st gen with a Nations Title. 2PM were the most popular boy group at their peak in SK topping gallup for bg's, multiple members individually very popular, number one hits etc. 2AM were also very successful if you count them with national hits of their own. It was Wonder Girls that got screwed over by JYPE's decisions in the 2nd gen, whilst 2PM all stayed around and got director positions at the company.
I don't understand why people constantly downplay JYPE's boy groups.
