Maybe not a good reason but the two are not the same in any sense. That was my point.

Facts:
- Neither of them were under the influence
- Neither of them were texting and driving
- Both were at fault
- Neither did anything knowingly reckless to cause it
They're obviously not the same, but neither is a criminal for it.

Correct me if I am wrong but Daesung was only found innocent after a month of investigation. The fact that someone died in the accident he was involved in automatically makes it a different type of accident than the one where nobody was even hurt. Obviously the first one will be more reported on the news and people will speculate about Daesung's responsability. Comparing the two cases makes no sense.

Just my point.

Also this whole cancel culture. You can only be cancelled by your own fans. Jungkook is as popular as he has ever been and that’s got a lot to do with how sincere he is.

Okay, I see where you're both coming from.
I could have made my point (which I did) without bringing up anything or anyone else. That was my mistake for complicating the debate.
Let's go back to the main topic...
OP's comparison of an accident (unintentional) to a deliberate racial slur in one's own language (intentional) is a logical fallacy.
Pretty sure we can agree that accidentally causing harm is a whole lot different from intentionally causing harm when it comes to how the person should be treated in court and otherwise.
