They won the night.
The performance they produced was insane. If you watch the main performance during the jacket part you can hear someone say 'WOAH' really loudly through the main performance camera (not through a fancam but through the camera filming them). Getting that kind of reactions from non fans and peers brings out just how insane it is. It had people's jaws on the floor.
it's gotten them praise across the board from non-fans to their peers to media like Rolling Stone including it in their BEST GRAMMY PERFORMANCES OF ALL TIME LIST (many other media has stated and ranked them as the #1 performance like BB, Vulture, people mag etc).
The standing ovation at the end almost brought me to tears cause of how proud i am of them.
they have come so far and honestly this performance to me was them showing up and proving to EVERYONE why they are where they are with or without that award. That no matter what happens. THIS IS THEM and THIS IS THEIR LEGACY BEING INSANELY TALENTED, INSANE PERFORMERS WITH AN INSANE DISCOGRPAHY.. THIS IS WHY THEY WILL BE CONSIDFERED LEGENDs
and why they are the biggest act in the world right now for a reason, cause WHO ELSE... who else is performing like them!
They definitely turned more heads their way and are going to gain so much thanks to this performance. This is also likely Butter final stage for a while (other than concert ones) and what a way to end an INSANE era.
