If other girl groups would get Teddy to produce their songs, would they have the same success as BP?

    Big Bang had huge international success, but the other YG boy groups did not.

    2NE1 and Blackpink enjoyed huge international success.


    Looks like the common factor for 2NE1's and Blackpink's success is Teddy.

    The boy groups failed because they didn't have Big Bang to produce for them, but the YG girl groups all had Teddy.


    Do you think other groups would have huge international success too if they had Teddy? If so, which groups do you think would succeed most with Teddy?


    Or do you think a group would need not only Teddy but also YG, because of all the big companies, YG know best what Western people like?

    Teddy and YG would help but i don't think a different gg under them will reach the heights of BP.


    BP is as successful as they are is because of Jisoo, Jennie, Rosie and Lisa. Each member is irreplaceable and an integral part of the group. The girls are the main reason for their success.

    Sunmi’s greatest hit was Gashina, which was produced by Teddy. Obviously the members matter but the music is the biggest thing, and Teddy played a big role in that.

    regardless of what kpop stans are saying, teddy is a great producer and he knows how to make bops.


    whether a gg will reach the same success - i strongly doubt it. music is important indeed but the members matter also. there are lots of ggs with great discography from big agencies but they're not even close to bp because their members simply don't have the IT factor. i'm not saying bp aren't surpassable, i'm saying it'll be very difficult to do so even if teddy makes their music.


    he and yg will definitely help but they can't fully recreate bp

    but..but...but.... i thought kpop fans hate teddys music production...

    BP needs Teddy


    and Teddy needs BlackPink


    Somi is working with Teddy, she had great rep before him, and she is doing great. But she is far for going BP level.

    I think Yg and Bp members themselves won´t let us know how much they invest on every come back. Every time i listen to a BP cover i find it very difficult to copy the feeling or tone they input on the song

    Other groups could be big successful too with Teddy's productions.

    Like Dreamcatcher, Everglow, IDLE, ITZY (not TWICE), Aespa (not RV), Rocket Punch.


    Problem is group image. YGE are masters of creating an image for their groups that's attractive to kpop fans and music fans in the west. Other companies could maybe succeed with that too, but not on YGE's level.

    2NE1 was hugely successful internationally too, because of Teddy (and YG). And they were totally different persons than BP girls.

    No teddy sucks. Even somi couldn't succeed with his songs. U need to have charisma and unique vocals (like Sunmi and BP). I'm not a BP fan but I think they're the only ones who can do his crap songs justice.

    Teddy knows how to make hits that's for sure, i don't think saying only the members of bp are the reason for their success is right, teddy do play a part in it too
