Visual wise, definitely.
But that's not it, Miyeon doesn't fit Blackpink's girl crush concept(the concept Blackpink are known for) at all. She is more an elegance type, I guess you can argue that Jisoo does not completely fit the concept either and has a similiar attribute but over the years she has grown towards it and is more natural despite lighter concepts being her strength.
And to me, it seems like the most popular Blackpink members are the ones that fit the gc concept the best(I mean, look at Lisa, she is arguebly the one that fits it the best and she's the most popular. Same goes for the other members, Jennie is 2nd popular because she fits it the 2nd best, Rose 3rd popular and Jisoo 4th popular.)
So yeah, I don't really think so but I think when it comes to be visual/face of bp(if she ever were in Bp) then Miyeon would be the star.

She's extremely pretty but she doesn't have stage presence at all. She can maybe compete in popularity with Jisoo (bc of visuals and vocals) but sooner or later she would drop below her as well bc Jisoo improved a lot after their first album comeback. The same can't be said for Miyeon right now
And yes, stage presence is essential for a group like BP. Lisa is the most popular member for a reason.

Maybe. She's like a combination of Jisoo and Rosé so there's a chance she would have been more popular.
I think she didn't make it because she overlaps with both of them. In a small group it's important that everyone stands out and having Miyeon in the group would instead make Rosé-Miyeon-Jisoo come off as more similar than they already do.

Lisa and Jennie are a wall, Rosé on stage is also a wall, the second best dancer, full of charisma and Jisoo while not being that good at debut, it's the one who improved the most, the most stable singing live and her personality is the strongest.
BP are a group chosed through the years so there is a reason why some debuted and others didn't.

It's funny all these people saying Miyeon isn't even popular within (G)I-DLE. Who do you think is more popular then exactly?
It's not Shuhua, certainly not in Korea at least. It's not Minnie. Soyeon is debatable but people always bring up she's not that popular (her fancam views are low), so I guess whether she is or not depends on the narrative they're pushing. Yuqi is certainly more popular in China, but in Korea? I'm not so sure.
In the meantine, Miyeon is the weekly MC of M Countdown and Gossip Idle. She released multiple OST songs and was a featured artist on several occasions.
She's doing fine. And she's certainly happier and more fulfilled with (g)i-dle.

Unlikely, She stands out in GIDLE because she’s basically the only member that fits Korean standard beauty. She has good vocals but so do a lot of people.
Jisoo already fits the traditional mold & Miyeon isn’t more praised for her visuals than Jisoo. Plus, Jisoo’s vocals are more distinguishable than Miyeon’s. Rosé is absolutely more vocally unique than Miyeon & definitely eclipses her in stage performance. Plus, the foreign but still Korean angle adds a bit of flair. Really, Miyeon would be unnecessary for the group where she is absolutely necessary for GIDLE.

You couldn't replace anyone and have the same success they have now. All the girls bring something special to the group and that's why they are as famous as they are. Blackpink are who they are because of the members. When will these delulu people get it

If miyeon was in blackpink there would be no need of jisoo and rose. She can sing like rose and has visuals like jisoo. Will jisoo and rose be where they are without blackpink and yg?
