I don't like it either

Glossy skin looks really pretty in photos taken with good lighting and after some editing to make the skin look flawless.

In real life however it mostly just looks like it's the middle of summer, 35°C, and roughly two hours since your deodorant failed.

I prefer the matte look, but glossy looks good in some instances too. It mainly looks good where the lighting is controlled and intentional. Otherwise it looks like grease was slathered all over you.

Depends sometimes its okay, but others times some look greasy or sweaty almost wet looking.
