I kinda see them as 4th Gen I guess, 2018 debuts. I mean different people have different ways to separating the gens I guess.
For me IZ*ONE/(G)I-DLE kinda started the ball rolling (kinda like the 4th Gen equivalent of I.O.I and CLC), followed by ITZY (4th Gen JYP group) and then the Produce48 debuts aka Cherry Bullet/Everglow/Rocket Punch etc etc

Yes they are because in less than three months they have caused a massive shock in the kpop industry, they were brutally ridiculed due to plagiarism scandals, inappropriate harassment due to Karina’s fake rumours, and disrespected because people were threatened by them because they knew before they even heard them perform , Aespa was more talented than their favs . Now everyone’s found common sense and can clearly see aespa is not just visuals, but talent and personality, heck even Koreans are loving them
These girls managed to turn negatives into positives against all odds and I can’t wait for their future releases, they’re gonna Slayyy!As winter said “ this is evo evolution”
