You always hear JYP is worried about a “Suzy situation” but in Kpop, who else have reached the popularity of Suzy? Even popular visuals like Yoona, Eunwoo or Irene never reach the level of popularity of Suzy to start eclipsing their groups. Like even if JYP pushes solo activities for Tzuyu or Yuna or Hyunjin I doubt they would be so popular that they would leave their groups. Is it stupid to worry about a “Suzy situation” when someone popular like Suzy is very rare to come by?

If it's too the detriment of the group then yeah it's a negative situation to be in. Suzy became so much bigger than her group it got to the point that her activities overrode miss A. So then what is point of miss A? Might as well just keep Suzy and disband the group to save time and money.
SNSD managed to have 2 it girls to this day and neither outshone their group and everyone knows how much bigger SNSD is than miss A. Sacrificing the group in a Suzy situation is both stupid and unnecessary. It's terrible management
