[Trigger Warning: Suicidal Language] Lizzy posts a very scary message on Instagram

  • i haven't heard of her before i hope she's alright and has support

  • I hope she has someone in her life who can reach out and help her through this. :(

  • Idk who she is or her history but I hope she gets better...

I'm going to be frank: Lizzy has struggled with mental health for years.

    TW: Eating Disorder

She was a member of After School: one of the "least popular" members, despite being pivotal to Orange Caramel, and the group as a whole. And this rubbed off on Lizzy, because she was often hated for her looks, everything she did.

Lizzy lost a ton of weight, often appeared sickly, and basically it was an open secret that she suffered from some sort of anorexia/eating disorder. Not only did she make disparaging comments about her OWN body though, she also body-shamed her own members, like Uee, called out WJSN Chocome for "copying" Orange Caramel..etc. She's quite controversial, and many of her fans abandoned her. She lost many J-fans when she supported Korea in 2016.

Then she had her DUI. This was terrible. Her alcohol limit was extremely high, she lost her career, lost her After School reunion, was mocked by everyone because of her past comments being anti-drunk driving. A couple of years ago, she had been praised for catching a drunk driver, and now she had committed that crime herself. Prosecution wanted her to serve 1 year in prison for drunk driving. She paid 15 million won to the driver.

She's dealt with a lot of hate (She already had a IG live 9/13/21 where she said she felt she had to die, her career was over, and consistantly apologized) since then too.

Her career was basically jeopardized by Pledis too. She finally had a shot on Running Man, but Pledis pulled her out, and they cut out all her scenes: it was meant to be her big break. In Pledis she tried a solo career as a trot singer, it flopped.

She had an episode on Running Man, they really enjoyed her there so they invited her to become part of the permanent cast (rumor is that she had beef with a producer). Ironically the same producer was let go not that long after.

One of the saddest moments was that she "helped" the guys from Knowing Bros back when they were starting, it was both her and another female celeb. One day, when Knowing Bros blew up, they invited that other celebrity, they showed the clip from the pilot, they even showed Lizzy, but the bros didn't invite her for the episode and acted like she wasn't in the pilot. Even before her scandal.

It's an overall sad situation: I've watched her basically spiral for years and years. This is why I hate the type of solo stans many groups have. I don't want to be rude, but she reminds me a bit of AOA's Mina in this way.

  • I only know her from Running Man and didn't know she is an idol. I hope she's okay and she have someone to vent her feeling. Hoping for someone close to her to get on her as soon as possible and give her some strength.

  • mental health sucks, because it's hidden.

Lizzy has been struggling with as you said for years.

And as we all know Pledis is SHIT.

They can sue me, but they are shit. Absolute trash.

I remember the first episodes of Knowing Bros ( I still watch them tho, because Heechul and Samja are funny).

But somebody should reach out to her, help her.

I really hope it's not too late.

  • I hope she is OK

Aside from mental health struggles, she is also struggling with alcohol consumption.

Even prior to her dui she had a few public episodes which didn't blew up.

If rehab is sth she can afford, she must consider it.
