Why do you think Taeyeon’s latest songs all become hits?

Taeyeon has always performed better than her fellow idol group turned soloists. I believe she still has plenty of Korean fans who are quite loyal, judging by how fast her concert tickets sell out. She's also quite relevant to newer generation because she's basically an idol's idol. Almost every group has a member who likes or mention her as their idol. She's also considered very pretty in Korea and she's one of the best vocalist. Now she's even more trendy because of Nolto and her side project like GOT.
For her underperforming singles, WDICY actually went top 5 on Melon if I'm not wrong, but it fell relatively fast, I guess just because it didn't click with the public and she didn't promote it at all. Even then she still got the Gaon Award for December, meaning that at that time people were just listening to older songs more.
The only other singles underperformance I can think of are:
- Something New which was a shame, can't quite recall why this one performed the worst;
- Dear Me, which was an unpromoted repackage title track. She should've went with Drawing Our Moments as her title for this one
Yeah I think that's pretty much it, all her other songs are like top 5 on Melon and top 10 on Gaon. She actually has a lot of No.2 on Gaon

I am still mad Something new didn't do well. it is one of my faves. Seems like the song is not even liked among Taeyeon fans coz i never see people mention it

Because Taeyeon is actually "present" as a celebrity again after basically shutting herself for years only doing IG lives and concerts for fans. She completely stopped appearing on TV and was really struggling mentally for a long time (especially I feel like non-fans don't realize how much she was struggling after Jonghyuns passing, she cried publicly at her concerts that year more than i've seen her all previous years combined.)
Then she did super well in 2019 again when she opened Taengoo TV on youtube and went on Begin Again 3, so she was "present" again. Then she disappeared for a bit after her dad passed and covid happened, only for her to go all out in 2021 even promoting on music shows again and being a constant present on amazing saturday.
TL;DR She had basically been limiting her presence for years and now she's finally a bit more active again. -
