I really don't like long nails and I even made a thread about it once lol

it doesn't matter if it's real or fake it's too long!!!!

even the ones in the OP's pictures I personally find long...but as I said I'm probably in the minority

I'm beginning to think it really is a READING COMPREHENSION issue...no I meant to say I like long hair especially on myself....I've made the comment before that I would like to have really really long hair like a Chinese scholar in those period c-dramas but alas I get overridden by my family

and as always my friend I have no idea what you look like long or short hair/nails etc...

I never have mine much longer than just reaching my armpits and try to keep mine more or less shoulder length. It still looks cute (in my opinion) without being too long to easily take care of or too short to not look "girly" enough (if you're worried about that). Besides, some shoulder length hair can look great! My evidence:

Now, don't get me wrong, am not trying to convince you one way or another, just pointing out how some short hair looks good too (at least to me). I hope you're able to figure out what you want to do. Have a great day/night!

from personal experience, if hair roots are pulled on, eventually they can get weak and then fall off.

(Disclaimer: I never had long hair but I have had been able to remove unwanted hair by pulling over time, it just falls off after a bit, not much pain.)

I'd recommend cutting by one or two inches before anything tbh. Weight reduction would be good to reduce the pulling on your hair.

(again I never had long hair so please take my advice with a truckload of salt)

I never had hair that long before either, but it seems like a good idea, so I will second this idea. You can always cut more hair off later, but it takes much longer to wait for hair to grow back, so it's better to cut off too little than too much.
