Someone already answered but it is a bit complicated with SM groups. For the longest time, SM had boycotted one of the charts (cyworld) and their songs couldn't be consumed there so it was literally impossible for any of them to get a pak no matter how big the song was until the chart went out of business a few years ago.

Most of SM artists major hits happened during that boycott. For example, I remember when Kyuhyun released At Gwanghwamun in 2014, he was number 1 in all daily and real time charts but he couldn't get a pak because the song wasn't in cyworld chart at all

So you could say the playing field was not even.
