Yeah it's kinda weird that top female soloist in Korea don't really collaborate with each other.
I was hoping for a 1st gen collab of BoA and Lee Hyori but I guess they prefer just being guest on each other variety shows 😒
Not sure if we ever will get an IU Taeng collab but when that time do come it will be a collapse for sure.
Generally artists still active on the top with similar profiles rarely collaborate.
It is profitable to keep the appearance of rivalry or even such wishes for a combination, keep on going.
It is not IU+Taeyeon, but also other major soloists Sunmi, Heize, Lee Hi, Chungha - have they collaborated with each other?
IU's last such collab was with Ga-in what 8 years back.
Otherwise only with male idols or non-kpop singers.

CL was supposed to feature on "Coin" but fell through because of scheduling (I believe CL's family member passed away). I would love to hear a IU and Taeyeon collab someday though.
Yes. But CL isn't in her prime active, as Taeyeon is.
Dynamics apart, I wonder if IU & Tae would really be a good contrast.
Sometimes putting 2 good things together, may not result in something greater than the parts.

IU & Gain was fantastic. But IU in Nakka, Suhyun could have easily sung it, didn't really stand out for me.
But anyway, they are the experts, they would know better than us.
