Nope. It's always been popular on Spotify, but never in Viral charts. After all, it was only a station song.

It has been getting traction in SEA countries as of recently, though.

I think him hitting 1M ULs on Spotify and his recent tiktok doing the Try Again challenge (which is a thing on tiktok, too), might have helped with extra streams.

It got some attention on Tiktok due to a video + search engines, then it started getting attention from SEA. Most of the streams are coming from there. The song gets around 200-250K streams daily.

Nope, as I said it goes "mid viral" or gets attention from specific locations. Last year it happened the same thing, but on a smaller scale.

It started going viral on in Thailand and Vietnam at the beginning of the month, then spread out across Indonesia, Malaysia and the Philippines, boosted by a nightcore version and TikTok trends with the lyrics "swyamahifprmaiy " as the main focus.

It continued to trend and spread out globally to the point that Jaehyun made his own version about a week ago, which also has the hashtag, which only furthered the spread.
