Obviously Ateez has done well for themselves, and it seems their company are aiming big, and people said Ateez reminds them of Bts with their underdog stories and stage presence. However, by the 3rd year of their career, Bts was already charting well in Korea, win MMA, are the top 3 boy groups at that time, Wings as an album have great acclaim. Ateez however, are not among the top 3 boy groups and they have little recognition in Korean, and i very rarely hear their song making noise like Enhypen or Stray Kidz. What do you think they can do to quicken their growth?

  • I’m no expert but the top 3 comparison is not appropriate. 3rd gen boy group is still enjoying their emperor days. Bts, seventeen and a little bit Exo. It’s not like they have exit the scene like 2nd gen has back in 2015-2016. Ateez is 4th gen so it’s more appropriate to make top 3 of 4th gen as a goal given the current dynamics.

  • Well, people are setting up ateez by claiming they'll be the next bts. Even the biggest groups exo and svt can't reach bts' level, let alone a 4th gen boy group.

Small companies suffer losses during the first years because even when an artist sells a lot, those money have to make up for everything the company's spent. That's why in 2020 belift (sublabel under hybe) suffered losses despite their group releasing the highest selling 4th gen debut album. High sales + high profit will make ateez's company go to the winning side at some point

  • Wait, KQ is small company? They are not that big but a stable company for what I know.

KQ has BlockB signed - they're a standard sized company, not too small, not too big.

Regarding the matter, it's really not a big deal.
