Well this first needs to define "Hit" quantitatively.
But your candidates and winner looks correct.
2nd gen is indisputably Bigbang.
3rd gen is indisputably BTS.
As I recently found, GGs deliver a lot of "medium-hits", but the BG hits while fewer, are exponentially massive.
But that is considering only groups, otherwise across both generations, it is still IU.
Have a Gaon Weekly digital graph, for the groups mentioned in OP + IU
And Melon data, Bigbang was huge in the pre-digital 00's decade as well.

EXO are in a weird place. They were consistent from Growl until Love Shot, but none of their hits are certified. They have a fuck ton of downloads though.
For 3rd gen, if we're looking at just Korea:
2. TWICE
3. EXO
Blackpink? They have limited songs but tbh I think they have more hits than exo.
