That's for sure. The way she exited kpop "because parents" basically, I feel like it wouldn't happen again today. KARA's debut album was the first kpop release I listened to and actually liked so I was bummed to see Sunghee already left when the group came to my knowledge (they were in their Wanna era at that time). I liked their original sound and concept more.

I wonder though if they would have added Hara and Youngji if Seunghee stayed. I also wonder if her departure caused them to change their sound drastically.

I think both Sunghee's departure and their debut album's failure (despite rave reviews) caused the agency to change the group's image and sound. So Hara and Youngji probably were casted with that in mind.
