Yes it does and I'm living proof of it. My partner and I have been together twenty one years and have a beautiful nineteen year old daughter. Yes, we've had some rough patches (who doesn't?) but we have soldiered on. He has supported me from the word go and we still feel as passionately about each other as the day we got together.
My parents were another example they were married for fifty years until my mother's death in 2010 just three days shy of their anniversary. I guess we're the lucky ones.
