It took NCT 5 years to get a song of their to reach 100m

  • lol not people using bts as an example aren't yáll embarassed

  • damn. that was long considering spotify is widely spread already in the later years. hmmm. are their main market not spotify users?

  • People that make generalizations and assumptions to drag groups, but demand nuance when it's their faves :pepe-cringe:

  • Don't worry SM stans, pretty sure SM will set up streaming farms soon if they haven't already. Watch how their numbers will skyrocket and they and their fans will say it's organic lmao

  • The majority of 3rd Gen bg do not have a 100m song. BTS of course had multiples and so do EXO. Rounding out the big groups, Seventeen, which has more streams than NCT, only has one.

NCT will add a 2nd 100m song in a few weeks.

No other 3rd Gen bg has a 100m song.

So a better question would be about 3rd Gen bg vs 4th Gen bg fan behavior around streaming.

  • More 3rd gen bgs do actually. Ikon has love scenario in the 200s that's heading for 300m. Killing me is also almost at 100m. Got7 and pentagon have one. Winner will also have one in the next few days. I don't know who else I've missed but it's not just the ones you mentioned.

  • their limitless concept drove casuals away then coupled with noise sm style main title tracks no wonder their streams are low. If SM want to improve their stream, they should be given more public friendly song like exo were.

  • their songs are just not repeat worthy

  • and people keep saying sm artists are successful now because of sm privilege lol.
