All I recalled was that tickets were advertised to the public through some contest a few years ago. I assumed that meant it was open to the public, but I was wrong. Guess that's how they keep it so "exclusive"

The Scammy’s are always invite only. Only nominees, performers, presenters, and voting body can invite audience members. That’s why it’s usually held in a smaller venue compared to other award shows.
It’s their way of showing “prestige”. Weird because they always say they’re all about inclusivity, when really they’re the most “exclusive” award show. lololol.
AMA’s and Billboard Awards have tickets they sell to the general public.
