Don't know about fandoms, IU does not do well in physical sales (Lilac was her first Album Bonsang ever) or Fan voting.

But yes, those 2 are the legendary acts. Looking at Top 100 of Gaon Year End charts from 2010-2021 i.e. 1200 songs, Including collabs etc. IU tops the list at 55 songs and BTS has 30-31 I think.

Then a huge gap to Davichi, Bigbang,BOL4, Twice at 20 and less..

Though Davichi, Bigbang or even IU had careers in 2000s, before Gaon, that gap is pretty large.

Even BTS has a large gap with IU to catch up with.

Still Kpop is more about idol groups and BTS leads all groups by a large measure.
