yea streaming doesn't pocket lot to the artists but for a common person like me $23k is alot of money

This is why I buy and download my music rather than paying for streaming services

doesn't sound like a whole lot.. it's like top 1% of the 1% that make it. Hopefully their other revenue streams make them way more.

- Music producer (record label): 48.25%

- Streaming service (Melon, Genie, etc.): 35%

- Songwriters (lyricists/composers): 10.5%

- Performers (singer/session): 6.25% (3.25% for the singer)

Singers also receive a share of the producer revenue based on their contract. He states that a 6:4 (producer:singer) ratio is common practice.
