I think it’s a good decision given the state of Covid but I think they should have cancelled. But idk if it makes a difference for the artists or not.

Things aren't getting better. Unless they're postponing until next year (or maybe even the year after that) it really makes no difference. They either need to prerecord them or not hold them at all.

i really don't know what to say about this. we're doing everything we can. unlike last year this time we have vaccines but it doesn't seem to be working. everything we do seems pointless. it's so frustrating.

As someone following the Olympics and the individual athletes. The Olympics should not be happening. It's going to be a lot worse since Winter Olympics departments are understaffed, the US figure skating national championships literally had a superspreading covid meet, and COVID spreads better in Winter sport competing areas. People don't know how bad it's going to be, because countries are hiding it, and people are suspecting some countries of sneaking their covid-positive athletes in somehow.

sadly, same is happening here. people are tired and i cannot blame them. we hear "we all need to do this and that and it will get better soon" over and over again, and nothing changes.
we were the only country in our region that had public new year's eve celebration. i read that over 100 000 foreign tourists entered my country. we chose profit over health, the numbers are about to skyrocket soon. so frustirating.

Everyone are subject to testing every day. All athletes and staff will be in a people loop and even journalists can only leave their hotel for prearranged interviews - nothing else.
That being said here we had 28k positives on 300k tests yesterday but the incident is 0,9 and it’s in decline. So we test like crazy. Some countries don’t do that and charge money for it hense why their numbers are low.
I’d just visit countries which test like crazy because the alternative is yikes.
Wintersport is not a super spreader - it’s worse inside than outside.
They have covid in warm countries too
Anyways a lot of countries are diplomatic boycotting China for the games. They should just postpone and stop this covid.
