they're on the nExt lEvEl
Most SM station songs don't get an expensive MV, multiple new outfits, new choreography, a dance challenge, or a Gayo performance. RV did a BoA cover as a station song in 2020 for their first group project in almost a year and all they got was one video of them sitting down. DCT is charting well but it is hardly your average SM station song lol
they're on the next level
They’re the next level they have physicals and digitals and talent name another 4th gen group that has all 3
They promoted it like a normal song. Music video and even got youtube ads
because the song is good
Because dreams come true is a good song. If they remake another boring song like forever then they will flop
They promoted it like a normal song. Music video and even got youtube ads
It’s aespa's song dreams come true not the got song. Is it wrong to celebrate or rather pressed that your groups are flops?
Sorry are you dumb lol a station song behaving like this if only sm promoted it like a title track it would be another pak
They’re basically the current biggest gg around without BP. If they can outchart BP which would be difficult but doable, then they’re the new NGG.
I think you are forgetting the original song was one of the biggest songs in its time . It was remade to be an Aespa song, can’t you see the mv like a comeback , performed it twice in a row like it’s their comeback stage + teasers. Name an sm station that received the hype and planning Aespa station song was doing and how many were actual remake of national hits . They even have YouTube originals for a station song . But I trust mys to blow everything out of proportion as usual like because it’s Aespa at the end of the day , only teenagers are their listeners . The general public interest has fallen so much in Kpop teenagers are carrying Kpop since they are obsessed with Aespa . They are charting like this
They promoted it like a normal song. Music video and even got youtube ads
Lie in anon= brilliant

Under 30s sixth place considering how their fans claimed everyone and their mother listened to next level ; they only ended up in 6 th place . Check twice cheer up Gallup and see the difference . Teenagers are 70% of Aespa listeners since Kpop is being bred by them today since the public yshtcreally interested ; they chart high in melons.YouTube South Korea displays the most watched by teens and early 20s and this were Aespa trends but you hardly see them on naver tv that has late 20s to 50s watching

Kpop today and 6 years ago was different. Check the facts straight first. Aespa achievements todays are really great considering public are losing interest in idols.

Not a BP fan, but you gotta be fucking kidding me. These girls are singing remakes for a year and you want to crown them as the NGG? SM stan lunacy at it's finest. It's really a shame all these older gen SM fans just have flocked to this talentless group because they need something to make themselves feel good.
This is the dumbest comparison ever.. There's a reason melon kiss relevant I'm sure if your faves charted you'll brag.
I don't know why mys are celebrating this remake song, SM is using up aespa's current hype on a remake instead of original songs that could actually qualify for awards.
next level was a huge hit. savage (NL 2.0) is coasting off NL's fame, just like NCT.
this is exactly twice's trajectory - "cheer up" hit huge ("LOA" established the fandom/interest first), "TT" was a follow-up big hit, "knock knock" was coasting off "cheer up"/"TT" fame and it was a gradual downward trajectory from there even though there were ups and downs.
Blackpink were able to squeeze it out a little longer because they debuted with such a splash ("Whistle" and "Playing with fire" were certified hits) but they've been on digital decline since "DDDD".
SM should be capitalizing on the success of NL for original content, but they're wasting the momentum on a remake. Now they NEED a great song for their comeback to do well, it can't be watered down like "savage".

Talentless and aespa don't belong in same sentence you gotta be lying to call them girls talentless delusional ass.
Has aespa sung live for a single stage ![]()

How does this help your argument really? MYs make it seem like the entire country is obsessed with Aespa and Next Level yet they placed #6 on this overall under 30s chart behind a group of influencers who haven't released music in 15 months

I wouldn't say Blackpink have been on a digital decline. D4 is their biggest song in Korea but they had two title tracks four months apart spend 16+ weeks in Melon top 10 the last year they were active. I don't know if any other group has done that before. So while it's possible they will never get a hit as big as D4 in Korea again (only BTS as a group really seems to be capable of producing more than 1 MASSIVE hit in SK during their career), they are def not declining digitally
I agree with your statement about Aespa though. They have a total of 10 songs, only 3 have even charted Melon top 50 and 2 of these 3 are remakes. SM should be more focused on trying to find success with a new sound they create for Aespa if they want longevity instead of recycling other people's work. I'm not surprised by DCT's charting in any case, the remake is quite good (much better than Savage IMO)

I should be more specific - "DDDD" is what sent bp to top tier status, and I see it as their pinnacle (so far). Next level is a huge hit but at the end of the day it's a remake. A remake will never make someone into NGG status. NL gave them a ton of momentum and spotlight that SM should've used on a solidifying song to catapult aespa to NGG but instead we got NL 2.0 (but worse) and another remake. Future momentums won't ever be as fresh as the breakout song, especially for an idol group. the next aespa comeback needs to be A-game, knock-out-of-the-park, or else the public will start getting bored.
Since when do remakes not count as real hits? Originality ≠ Success
Since when do remakes not count as real hits? Originality ≠ Success
They count as long as you have other hits. But at this rate aespa will be known as a cover group. Let's put in this way - 10 years from now "next level" and "dreams come true" won't count as aespa's songs.
