Sure for me everything is a combination. Fandom without GP and GP without fandom are both not proper success. There is merit in these streams when combined with overall performance. By itself both mean nothing to me.
For example there are many super hit songs with more digitals that will never be remembered. But a fandom will remember a song.
One isn’t less than the other. Proper success needs both.

i would call hit a mini hit
because it didn't flop considering how many people that are not kpop fans know the "let me introduce to some new thangs" part and the choregraphy, proving that it made enough buzz in korea to not be consider as a flop
but it didn't do amazingly well to be consider as a hit
so it's a mini hit
