I do like Black Swan lyrically it does deserve praise for it's lyrics after all, especially for it's brutal look at becoming a corporate celebrity as an artist loses passion for their craft, churning out stuff that pleases the masses rather than the individual artist. Musically, idk why it just doesn't do it for me, but maybe I'm to picky over beats in rap music. But seriously though, since the forum is all about lyrics nowadays, Black Swan is an example of one of the few idol group songs with "deep"(I put this in quotation as that's generally what it's labelled as) lyrics that does it well. Personally I think the best competition lyrically which isn't something I listen a lot for kpop for to judge around the same time is Sunmi's Pporappium, which does some interesting wordplay to emphasize the romanticist and nostalgic nature of the song that I think Koreans are for sure better at getting than I am, and is a song I prefer more musically. Still, Black Swan is one of my top BTS songs lyrically plus as always the dance and mv visuals are cool and they perform it well.

Nothing in kpop is as good as 'Black Swan'. The true representation of art. Haven't seen vocals, instrumentals, dance, lyrics come together as well as this. Every single thing from the name to that last bit of choreo by the members has a meaning. This song is also one of the reasons why I would never doubt BTS' love for music. The things they told through this song are not easy for an artist to tell to the public. You cannot create or represent this level of art if you're not truly in it. BTS are truly exceptional. 'Black Swan' is a masterpiece.
