Do you see aespa making it in the west?

  • Honestly as a my no. With how SM promoted them it will takes miracles + their kwangya concept ain't helping at all. The only wildcard is if elon musk taking a liking of aespa ai concept since he like those kind of things.

  • weren't y'all saying that their kwangya stuff wasn't gonna let them be successful in Korea too? :/

  • No, we see how Korean and International fans are hyped for new groups. (IVE maintaining a good start) With more ggs debuting Aespa will lose their hype. It will be very hard for them to relevant now.

Aespa got big this year because of no competition. The real competition will begin with HYBEGG, ADORGG, KEPLER,etc.

  • well which kpop make it in the west besides BP and BTS

    nobody '-'

at least in contrary of all the other kpop act, Aespa have a solid market where they are popular which is Korea

  • Lol this is not a my this is the same twice/ jypn user who’s obsessed with aespa and their hits or impact it’s so obvious… you have a really unhealthy obsession with aespa

  • SM doesn't know how to market their groups to the west their most western friendly act NCT has a hard time making it their

  • Sure "MY" it's so funny you guys so obsessed with aespa and western promo they charted Savage EP with no US record label to distribute on billboard200. We do not CARE if they get western fame or not 9 times out of 10 its all fickle bandwagon stans anyway, aespa are slaying Asia and that's perfectly fine!

  • if they change they weird asf concept (ai + naevis) i can see them making it. their bsides are incredible, i think if iconic or yeppi yeppi were the title track, they would probably gain a lot of popularity in the west.

the naevis cult and the strange storyline don't interest the west tbh. but they are luck that all the girls are beautiful, extremely talented so it's a huge plus for them. also, they should create individuals instagram pages, which can help with their popularity

  • with the promotions in us show and macys parade. no. they can just stick to ranking less than a month in bb 200

  • Didn't he like Loona too? It didn't do much for them.

  • If SM prepares better pre-recorded and more convincing tracks for the girls to lipsync to the way YG did with BlackPink or lets the girls sing live and if they manage to get a non-divisive viral hit (they have it in them), then maybe. Also, I'm not familiar with how well they know English outside of Giselle. I know that at least 3/4 of BP members are good with English.

But as it is right now, and in the direction that SM is taking them towards, NO.

  • No and here are the reasons:

-the West doesn't like that kind of music

-the west eats alive those who lypsync

-the west don't even have good performers with good choreographies but they'd drag aespa so bad if they see their choreographies

-the concept is odd, hard to understand even for a kpop fan, let aside for anyone else

  • with the promotions in us show and macys parade. no. they can just stick to ranking less than a month in bb 200

The way y'all try to drag a debut rookie ep for supposedly flopping is strange we MY weren't even aiming for bb200 they had 0 stores selling it in US and they still charted bruh how is that a drag??

  • No, because LSM is stupid and Aespa deserves better than that Kwangya concept. You have Giselle who has sass (that is, if she avoids getting into "scandals"), NingNing with the actual stage presence and voice. I'm still 50/50 on Karina and Winter. They're both beautiful but they're playing safe right now.

If you want to make it in the West, even untalented Tiktokers know they have to make songs that speak about relatable human experiences.

  • People over here think western artists don't lipsync. It's laughable.
