No, the idea of the mv and concept was always mafia, film noir and bad guy. Also the styling hence they use a lot of leather and black. Just because you didn’t get it, doesn‘t mean it wasn’t always the concept

I'm honestly surprised with how much "acknowledgment" you have about Itzy song, whole concept and lyrics. A fan i must say.

So, in this one scene where yeji is walking, there is another man walking and she is eyeing him. The whole point of the Mama stage was to show as in the whole Mafia scheme (how it is usually portrayed in film noir) that there is no good or bad guy (everyone is working against each other) and that everyone is undercover or covering their true identity. Just like Ryujin is hiding next to puppets - as in hiding her identity as she is hiding her true intentions in the stage as an two-faced officer. That’s the whole point of the song, showing someone you aren’t or leading someone on with wrong information, subjects. Playing with someone. It’s not as prevalent in the MV as in the stage but it’s hinted in such scenes.
