Joshua Kimmich is allowed to get out of quarantine - the unvaccinated 26-year-old was infected with the corona virus - there is another setback for the star of FC Bayern München. Kimmich will not be able to play a game for the German record champions this year. This is because he suffers from consequential damage from his corona disease.
"I am pleased that my corona-related quarantine has ended. I'm doing very well, but due to slight infiltration (fluid accumulation, ed.) In the lungs, I am currently not able to fully train. I will therefore complete advanced training and can hardly wait to be fully there again in January," says Kimmich on the Bayern website. The midfielder missed the three Bundesliga games against Mainz, Stuttgart and Wolfsburg.
In addition to Kimmich, Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting was also allowed to leave the quarantine. But the 32-year-old is also struggling with the aftermath of his corona disease. According to coach Julian Nagelsmann, he does not take part in the training. It is quite possible that Choupo-Moting will also be canceled until the end of the year. Like Kimmich, the Cameroonian international playwer is not vaccinated.
