I was so happy they released 3 episodes the first week, but then they only released one the 2nd week.

There's so much of the lore explained in the X-Ray, but it's unbearable to pause and read.

I went to the wiki to try to understand something that happened in the last episode and I could tell that they aren't exactly following the books. Someone on reddit said that they are following the major plot points, but the in-betweens are different.

But it was a risky move, I almost spoiled myself who is the Dragon.

I have it I may watch it

I actually heard that the show is slowly going off course from what the story was on. I'm not for sure though, I haven't read the book series.

I recommend asking someone who's also watching the show because if you look it up, there's definitely going to be some spoilers from the book. Maybe someone here or on Reddit or something.

The first three episodes have been mostly on point for the story. They are changing minor things or speeding up certain story arcs, but that's to be expected with any book series getting converted to a show.

Even the slight changes of aging up the characters about 5 years changes a few things. But I get why they did it, and it still fits with the storyline as a whole.

So, after two episodes I watched so far, interesting setup, good production design, beautiful environments, the white robe guys are awesomely scary, I like the cinematography, the casting is good (Rosamund Pike is great as always), some dodgy cgi and visual fx here and there (but forgivable due to budgetary constraints), but, but, buuuut.... the direction and editing are absolutely horrible at times, for example the scene at the first episode in the inn had so many cuts and weird camera positioning and editing that I lost the orientation of the scene & almost got dizzy.

I haven't read the books (I know some story points and background due to osmosis) but I am curious to see if this ends up as another butchered adaptation (GoT, Foundation, Cowboy Bebop etc) or if it ends up great and faithful enough like Villeneuve's Dune.

Episode 4 was pretty epic! Logain has entered the story!!!!!!!

And I love how they're doing Nynaeve as a character.

Episode 5 was definitely a melancholy turn.

Love how they're doing Perrin's story though. And Mat is causing all sorts of trouble, like it should be.

It was a good setup for the future seasons. It would have been too easy for this to be the true ending (just like in the books).

There's lots more story to tell.

Believe me, The Dark One wouldn't have gone down that easily. This is the "oh you thought you defeated me" phase.

That's what happens when you're evil and cocky. You get surprised by the hero and get knocked down a step or twelve.
