Actually this is more insane thinking about it. You can make a case that Adele’s US numbers plus global is what makes her huge but also BTS pulls a lot more streams from platforms that aren’t used in the west.
BTS’ numbers don’t include streams from their own backyard. They are so amazing
the global 200 is very much geared/benfits acts who are strong in the US/Europe/countries that us Spotify/AM as their main streaming services. They exclude local asian platforms + downweigh YT a ton (ie downweighing a streaming platform that Asian and non-western countries use a ton)
