The rule was you had to jump from glass to glass, but never said where you had to stand on the glass. You can stand on the sides of the glass above the support rails that it sits on. So even if the glass cracks, your weight is supported by the rails.

If they pull some BS that disallows that, then everyone can take off their pants and tie them together to make a rope. Tie that rope around someone and have them jump to a glass. If they fall through, you catch them with the rope and pull them back up. Then jump to the correct glass panel and repeat.

Oh thats smart, could actually work, but I really doubt anyone would think of that under the pressure and the stress from previous games + the time. In practice it still is the scariest game..
