It's not good for future of kpop if new ggs have such poor charting.

We still have chances with Aespa and Stayc, but I thought Stereotype would do better, so maybe the hype for ASAP was more for the song itself and not the group, so I wonder how Savage will do.
But if the new Jyp and YG ggs debut dont do that well on the chart as their previous ggs (I mean itzy's Dalla Dalla and Bp's boombayah), it'll probably mean the public isnt that interested anymore.

I thought 4th gen ggs were doing well

As long as 4th gen GGs continue to grow their fanbases and eventually sell 300k, 400k, etc per comeback, they will be fine.
Demographics in Korea dont favor Kpop either, with less and less young people due to Koreans not having kids. This is probably why so many boomer favorites are doing so well in charts.

Somi?i'm not talking about 3rd gen gg members becoming 4th gen soloists. This is about new ggs

Right?? Thank you mg people obsessed with numbers and charts need jobs pls

tbh it makes sense looking at the demography, 4th gen groups mostly appeal to teenagers and early 20s adults at most, i heard SK has one of the lowest birth rates in the world currently so the average age of koreans is going up fast and these young groups have less and less potential consumers there.
