fellow zoomers, what do you think about our generation?
boomers and millenials, what are your thoughts on today's teens and barely-adults?

i'm born 96, am i gen z?
That they're not as good as my generation Gen X. Having a daughter that is included in this bunch, they seem entitled imo, I'm not saying all of them but some of them. They expect just to get things for free and not have to work hard for it like their parents did. I don't like their lingo - sometimes I have no idea what they're on about. Their music and fashion sense can leave a lot to be desired. I prefer my generation any day of the week and the best thing is we didn't have internet and social media in my time and made our own fun but we had our issues too as a society. The generation today are more tolerant of gay people than the homophobes of my day. Social opinions have changed a lot now and it's for the better imo. I guess there's good and bad in every generation and we're all proud of which one we're in I guess.
I am part of genz and I have to say...........some of us are really weird.
stop complaining about your parents for everything they do, and stop playing pretend unprivileged.
stop self-diagnosing yourself with mental illnesses.
e-girls, stop shaming and insulting basic ladies for enjoying pop culture and traditionally girly things. you are the community with the most popular aesthetic right now and are no less basic than girly girls. wearing black doesn't make you different. you are trying too hard to be edgy.
PLEASE stop putting so much blush and highlighter on your nose
why do you like shoes with humongeous platforms so much?
i will like to end this by saying that we do have better fashion than millenials. sorry

I'm gen z and they kinda suck 😕
We’re… interesting.
I can't speak about a generation as a whole because that would be generalising. But honestly the first thing I think of when the words gen z come up is tiktok influencers and they scare me so much. All of them
I think I'm pretty cool though
way more career oriented and independent than the previous generations (which I think is a good thing)
Just in my experience:
-The obsession with social media is unhealthy, I work with young to older teens part time in a school and so many of them lack basic social skills and I blame the fact that they're always on their phone
-Catfishing - so many girls and boys edit their pictures before posting them online and go insane over their likes and comments. I think gen z is probably the most insecure generation
-Somehow all of them are suffering from depression, the number of kids I've had come up to me and say they're severely depressed is shocking. Some of yall gotta stop with the self-diagnosing, depression is a very real thing and shouldn't be taken lightly
-The make up trends are ugly there's nothing attractive about drawn on box eyebrows that cover half your face with fake nails longer than your fingers
-Many use the excuse of mental health to get out of things they don't wanna do, literally had a girl come up to me and say she can't take part in a school exercise because it destroys her mental health. All she had to do with sit next to another girl
-Over sensitive and can't handle any form of critique
-Theres a sense of entitlement amongst gen z kids, well in my school anyway
-Very forceful in their beliefs, if you have different beliefs then they're not accepting of it, they will only accept it if you agree with them. Cult mentality is strong here
-If a world war ever breaks out, we are f*cked
The goods things:
-Very tolerate and accepting of LGBTQ+ community
-More socially aware of racism and actively tries to fight against it
-Fatshaming is now being called out and many companies now hire plus size models as well as models from different ethnic backgrounds

i thought adults on social media were the ones who did this the most though. most of gen z also don't like the "instagram" eyebrows.
I don't have any social media but you're probably right. I'm basing my opinion on the school I work in (we teach 11 to 18 year olds) and the ages aged 13 and up are mostly doing this trend. I guess they're following the adults on social media? The other teachers I work with (it ranges from the youngest teacher being 21 and the oldest being 50+) don't follow these trends. We have a pretty relaxed dress code but we have to send home the kids with way too much make on or the super long nails
